SECTION 1  PREPARING YOUR JFW DIRECTORY FOR UPDATE

1.1  USING WINDOWS 95
     a. Copy your original JFW directory to a backup directory.
        1.  Using Windows Explorer, Select the drive that
            will contain the backup JFW directory and create
            the backup folder.  This can be done through the
            "New" menu option in the File menu of Windows
            Explorer.
        2.  Select the original JFW directory in the
            Directories TreeView.  Tab to the Files ListView
            and Select All (Control+A) and copy to clipboard
            (Control+C).
        3.  In the Directories TreeView Select the New
            Backup JFW directory and paste the contents of
            the Original JFW directory (Control+V).

	 b. Unload JFW and reload it from the backup directory.
        Using Windows Explorer, find JFW.EXE in your backup
        directory.  Press Insert+F4 to unload JAWS. Once
        JAWS is unloaded, JFW.EXE in the backup JFW
        directory should still be selected. Pressing ENTER
        will start JFW from the backup directory.
     c. Delete your original JFW directory.  Select your
        original directory in the Directories ListView and
        press shift + DELETE.
     d. Install JFW into the original directory
        while running JFW from the backup directory.
        Activate the Run dialog from the Start Menu, then
        type A:SETUP or B:SETUP and press {ENTER}.
     e. Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or your
        authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
        directory.


1.2  USING WINDOWS 3.1x
     a. Copy your original JFW directory to a backup
        directory.
        1.  Using File Manager, select the JFW directory
            in the the Directories list.  Tab to the Files
            list and select all.  This can be done through
            the Select Files option in the Files menu.
        2.  Press F8 to start the copy process.  Windows
            will prompt your for a destination path.  Type
            the name of the path to where you want to copy
            JFW.
     b. Unload JFW and reload it from the backup directory.
        Using File Manager, find JFW.EXE in your backup
        directory.  Press Insert+F4 to unload JAWS. Once
        JAWS is unloaded, JFW.EXE in the backup JFW
        directory should still be selected. Pressing ENTER
        will start JFW from the backup directory.
     c. Delete your original JFW directory.  Select your
        original directory in the Directories ListView and
        press DELETE.
     d. Install JFW into the original directory while
        running JFW from the backup directory.
        Activate the Run dialog of Program Manager or File
        Manager, then type A:SETUP or B:SETUP and press
        {ENTER}.
     e. Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or your
        authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
        directory.

SECTION 2  INSTALLING JAWS FOR WINDOWS UPDATES

An update assumes you have already installed an
Authorization Key. If you have moved your Authorization Key
from your Hard Drive use evmove (in DOS) or winmove (in
Windows) to place a key on your hard disk.  See section 3
Authorization Keys.

Place your JAWS for Windows installation disk 1 in your
floppy drive, then use one of the following two options to
start the program. For additional information about using
the Setup program, please read the Setup guide or the file
"SETUP.TXT".

Perform the steps indicated in Preparing your JFW Directory
for Update.

INSTALLING FROM A DOS PROMPT using floppy disks
	a.	Place your installation disk 1 in your floppy drive
    b.  Type A:Install or B:Install and press {ENTER}.
	c.	Follow the instructions displayed.
    d.  Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or from
        your authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
        directory.

INSTALLING FROM A DOS PROMPT from your hard drive
	a.  Change to the directory which contains the update
	b.  Type install and press (ENTER)
	c.  Follow the instructions displayed.
    d.  Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or your
        authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
        directory.

INSTALLING FROM WITHIN WINDOWS using floppy disks
    a. If you are using Windows 95, Activate the Run dialog
       from the Start Menu, then type A:SETUP or B:SETUP
       and press {ENTER}.
	   If you are using Windows 3.1x, Activate the Run
       dialog of Program Manager or File Manager, then type
       A:SETUP or B:SETUP and press {ENTER}.
	c. Follow the installation instructions as displayed.
    e. Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or your
       authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
       directory.

INSTALLING FROM WITHIN WINDOWS from your hard drive
    a. If you are using Windows 95, Activate the Run dialog
       from the Start Menu, then type \<folder>\SETUP
       and press {ENTER}, where <folder> is the name of the
       folder which contains the setup files.
	   	*folder is the same as directory
	   If you are using Windows 3.1x, Activate the Run
       dialog of Program Manager or File Manager, then type
       \<dir>\SETUP and press {ENTER}, where <dir> is the
       name of the directory which contains the setup files.
	c. Follow the installation instructions as displayed.
    e. Copy HJCR.EXE from your backup JFW directory or your
       authorization disk to your newly installed JFW
       directory.


Section 3 AUTHORIZATION KEYS

     To move an authorization key to your hard drive, place
your JAWS for Windows Authorization Disk in your floppy drive
and use one of the commands shown below.  Change the disk
drive letters in the commands as needed.  The "A:" indicates
the location of your JAWS diskette, and the "C:" indicates the
destination hard disk drive where the authorization key will be
copied.

3.1  MOVING A KEY FROM A DOS PROMPT
	 Log on to your A drive e.g., A:
     Type EVMOVE A: C: /B and press {ENTER} or
     Type EVMOVE A: C: /B and press {ENTER} whichever is
     appropriate.

3.2  MOVING A KEY FROM WITHIN WINDOWS
	 If Windows 95 activate run dialog from the start menu or
	 If Windows 3.x activate the Run dialog of Program
     Manager or File Manager, then type
     A:\WINMOVE a: C: /B and press {ENTER}.
